Qualified and experienced Marine Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional with 38 years of combined military and civilian service. 21-year Coast Guard career in maritime search and rescue and maritime law enforcement, Chief Warrant Officer (BOSN2, retired). Extensive 15-year post-military career in Oil and Gas industry EHS in maritime capacities.

 

15 years of US and international experience managing EHS aspects of Marine and land Seismic survey projects in the upstream oil and gas industry. A globally recognized leader who sets industry EHS strategy and processes. Adapts well to changing environments. A flair for developing EHS talent and leading high-performance, self-directed teams. Among management and peers, I am known as a professional in EHS who truly cares about the workforce, the public & their safety.

21 Years Coast Guard
Service with extensive experience in Search and Rescue, Law Enforcement and VesselOperations. Including service as Officer in Charge at Search and Rescue station Morro Bay California andExecutive Officer of Coast Guard Cutter George Cobb. Six years sea duty combined on three Coast Guardships. Deck Watch Officer, Boarding Officer and Coxswain qualifications maintained throughout career.Qualified USCG Surf-man #286, 1600 Ton Masters license Upon Oceans held for 10 years (post USCG).

36 Hazmat, Oil Spill response and Incident Command System
(ISC) formal training and hazmat and oil spill certificates earned while serving as Readiness Officer on the Coast Guard Pacific Strike Team in Novato California.

15 Years
Served as a Marine EHS Consultant for major Oil and Gas companies and two full time EHS Specialist roles.

Conducted numerous vessel audits,
Numerous EHS MS Audits, numerous risk assessments, numerous JSA’s andnumerous hazard observation reports. Led incident investigations and evaluated the contractor’s incident reportfindings to ensure corrective actions were fit for purpose and corrective actions were closed out.❖Fifty times selected as project EHS lead on multi million-dollar seismic surveys.
